A Farmers Branch-based property firm is breaking ground on two North Texas apartment communities.
Transcontinental Realty Investors Inc. and its subsidiary Abode Properties are building the Tower Bay Lofts apartments in Lewisville.
The 4-story, 308-unit rental community will have resor-style pools, a parking garage with an observation deck overlooking Lake Lewisville, fitness center with rooftop deck and an onsite dog park.
"Tower Bay is located in the middle of the primary growth path of the area," Transcontinental CEO Daniel Moos said in a statement. "It is anticipated that the Lewisville market will continue to be in the forefront of future growth of the greater Dallas area."
Transcontinental Realty has also broken ground on the Lakeside Lofts in the Mercer Crossing development near LBJ Freeway and Luna Road.
The 498-unit rental project is adjacent to the Omni Hotel.
"This is the eighth multi-family asset we’ve developed or leased up so far this year," Moos said. "We expect more great additions to the portfolio during the remaining months of 2018."
Transcontinental Realty just formerly opened its new Parc at Wylie apartments in Wylie with 198 rental units.
